Ranveer Singh is brilliant as an actor and there’s no doubt on that. The actor gets into the skin of the character so much so that he behaves in the same manner even when he is not shooting for the film. We all have seen him that way, right?
But recently what happened was a little shocking. Ranveer Singh who grew his hair, beard and also a moustache to play anti-hero Alauddin Khilji in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s next Padmavati, has been breathing in and out in the role. Yes, he even locked himself in his apartment to remain in the same head-space for the role.
Now, as the film is in its last leg, Ranveer is facing a tough time getting out of the character, and is reportedly seeking a psychiatrist’s help for the same.
“Getting out of this dark, intimidating mindset wasn’t easy for him. The film has also been shot for almost a year now, so sustaining the Khilji persona was very challenging. It affected his reactions and behaviour towards people. Which is why his friends advised him to get help in emerging beyond Khilji. He is going to a psychiatrist to get rid of the Khilji influences,” a source told Deccan Chronicle.
This has raised our expectation levels a notch higher, hasn’t it? Ranveer Singh is going to be far ruthless than we have even seen him on the silver screen.
Padmavati, which also stars Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor, is all set to hit the screens on Dec. 1.
